As part of their expansion strategy, Supplyline Medical aimed to integrate their POS system (Shopify) with NetSuite to support the opening of a new retail store. However, their existing infrastructure posed several challenges:
- Inefficiencies in Data Synchronisation – Product, order, and customer data were not seamlessly syncing between Shopify and NetSuite, leading to operational bottlenecks.
- Manual Processes Slowing Operations – Without automation, key workflows such as order processing and inventory management were time-consuming and prone to errors.
- Lack of Scalable Infrastructure – To support their retail ambitions, Supplyline Medical required a robust and scalable integration that could adapt to growing transaction volumes.
To address these challenges, Supplyline Medical partnered with Patchworks and delivery partner Bemeir to implement a scalable, automated integration between Shopify and NetSuite. Bemeir, known for their expertise in enterprise ecommerce transformations, worked closely with Patchworks to ensure a smooth, efficient rollout.
Patchworks enabled Supplyline Medical to automate critical processes, ensuring seamless synchronisation across:
- Orders (Shopify <> NetSuite) – Automating order flow to reduce processing time and errors.
- Companies (Variants & Options) – Ensuring accurate product data management.
- SubCustomers – Facilitating better customer relationship management.
At launch, Supplyline Medical used Patchworks’ unique Connection Pools feature to ensure their NetSuite setup stayed within the concurrency limits of their NetSuite subscription, maintaining consistent and reliable data synchronization. Patchworks identified a gap in the iPaaS market, recognizing that NetSuite's API required more than just rate limiting capabilities. Connection Pools help prevent API concurrency issues by managing interactions with NetSuite, ensuring request limits are not exceeded. This approach guarantees smooth data synchronization without disruptions.
Since the initial implementation, Supplyline Medical has expanded its automation capabilities by adding 30 additional process flows, further optimising operations.
